A “recovering overachiever,” De Pas has considerable business experience and savvy, tempered with an empathetic touch. A Certified Association Executive (CAE) since 1992, she has 24 years’ experience as an executive director of some 30 plus, extremely diverse and varied, non-profit trade associations and professional societies. Operating most of them at a profit, often turning them around from unprofitable to profitable with cash reserves equal to at least one-half of their annual revenue, daily she has worked with corporate leaders and entrepreneurs as well as those in the medical, legal, and government sectors.
In the coaching arena, De Pas is a graduate of the Landmark Education Corporation’s Curriculum for Living, Coach University, and the Coaches Academy, recently assisting in Landmark Education’s “Self-Expression and Leadership Program” as a coach, and has attended numerous workshops and seminars with a coaching focus. She is included in the 2004 edition of Marquis’ Who’s Who in the World.
De Pas holds an M.A. in interdisciplinary degree in arts administration with a concentration in art history from Ohio State University (1980) and a B.A. in French from Elmira College (1973).
In her spare time, she is a single mother, daughter, good friend, visual artist (watercolor and charcoal), and an author. She was a partner in the Collective Arts Gallery and Ceramic Supply, 1999-2001, and believes in having a life of beauty, generosity, unconditional love, imagination, courage, and vision.
